SPECIAL PROJECTS
Slingpoles
A new show for 2010. Using a minimal superstructure of flexing 5m fibreglass poles and elastic cord, an acrobat in a bi-rotational harness can bounce 5m in the air straight off the ground. Facing forwards or backwards or cartwheeling, the routines would be based around a choreography of twisting rotations. Two technicians manipulate the poles inserted in specially fabricated lever bases, can run into position, set up, and catapult the aerialist into the air and a high-energy, high-altitude routine set to specially created soundtrack. Multiples of performers can perform choreographed routines in pre-set configurations. Using lighting carefully much of the structure remains unseen. Higher, safer and much more than a trampoline act can offer.
The Wishbone
Counterbalanced into a state of perfect equilibrium, an aerialist can shift her body weight over three different axes to find new forms of movement within a three metre circle. Suspended from a truss or crane. Indoors or out.
The Vertical Banners
Created in conjunction with Event360 these 12m helium tubes lift up or drop down huge banners to parade team crests or branding. Ideally suited to stadium use, they can be run out of tunnel before kick-off. They can also be used for displaying large projection screens.
The Circular Vertical Banner
At 12m in diameter this helium filled ring has its circular banner stretched within. The ring can be turned and spun at the required moment. |
