COMPANY HISTORY The Dream Engine was formed in January 1995 by Tim Petter and Steve Edgar to combine the talents of a pool of musicians, performers, makers and inventors to produce rare and wonderful performance events. Our core company can be expanded to include up to twenty artists and technicians, on a project-by-project basis. Our performance work divides between public street arts festivals in the UK and Europe, and the corporate market – parties, product launches, expos and sports events right across the globe. Half of our work is abroad. Largely unfunded, we create much of our new work by pitching ideas to those adventurous event producers who have enjoyed our previous shows and are after something even more extraordinary. The Dream Engine has been a member of the Independent Theatre Council since 1995.

Tim Petter died of cancer in March 2006 and the rest of us here at The Dream Engine have resolved to carry on with many of Tim’s principles in mind. He was much loved and respected and we miss him.
